Paramedic
Life EMS Ambulance, Inc. is seeking an experienced Paramedic for full‑time service in Grand Haven, MI. The role supports emergency vehicle and patient care functions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
Pay & Sign‑On BonusHourly pay ranges from $26.75 to $38.41 based on experience and license status. A $2,000 sign‑on bonus is available for full‑time applicants.

- Provide patient care during emergency response and transport
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and functional medic unit at shift start and end
- Examine patients and report findings to emergency department personnel
- Prepare medical reports and invoices for runs conducted by the crew
- Attend training sessions to maintain certification
- Clean vehicles and patient care compartments; maintain stations orderly
- Report vehicle and equipment malfunctions to Control Center or supervisor
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment in conjunction with medic unit checklist
- Other assigned roles and responsibilities as directed
- Exceptional knowledge of emergency care procedures and common physical illnesses
- Quick thinking and action in stressful situations
- Proficiency in applying emergency care procedures and equipment
- Strong working relationships with crew, police, fire, and public
- Ability to prepare detailed written reports
- Minimum age 18 years
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass all Life EMS pre‑employment requirements
- Current Michigan Paramedic license
- Local medical control authorization
- Current BLS CPR card
- Trauma certification such as PHTLS
- Pediatric certification such as EPC, PALS, or PEPP
- Current ACLS certification
- Stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Lift, push, pull medical equipment up to 70 lb; push and pull wheelchairs while ascending/descending stairs with 130 lb patient
- Lift/transfer up to 150 lb patient with assistance of another paramedic
- Carry medic unit and bedding; close and open doors, grab, swing, lift items heavier than 50 lb
- Climb ladders; wear particulate respirator as required
- Work shifts outside requested availability, including days, nights, weekends, or holidays
