Position Summary
Involved with registration, collection, processing and quality control of specimens, receives and instructs patients, processes lab orders and distributes laboratory reports.
Employment InformationPart time – 16 hours per week. Night shift.
What you will need- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy training certification preferred.
- Experience preferred.
- Proficient use of computers.
- Collect blood samples from patients.
- Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens.
- Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor’s offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information.
- Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician’s orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments.
