Welder - Grand Haven Area

Salary Range: $39,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications.
• Operate and maintain various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welders.
• Perform precise welding on metal components and structures according to engineering drawings.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, defects, and conformity to standards using appropriate tools.
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.

• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
• Demonstrated experience with various metal types (e.g., mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum)
• Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, or D1.6)
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

• Experience with robotic or automated welding systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced fabrication tasks, including layout, cutting, and fitting.
• Familiarity with quality inspection techniques (e.g., visual inspection, NDT basics) and documentation.
• Experience welding exotic materials or thin gauge metals.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or other advanced AWS certifications.
