High School Apprentice Teacher – Grand Island Senior High
Start Date:
January 5, 2026
Any teacher with a secondary certificate in any area is qualified for the Apprentice Teacher position.
Position PurposeApprentice Teachers will observe best practices from experienced teachers, co‑teach, observe, and learn from Master Teachers, provide in‑house substitute coverage, support with tutoring, grading, and individual or small‑group instruction. Depending on school needs and candidate background, they may also teach their own class under supervision. By the end of the second semester, Apprentice Teachers will be strong candidates for a teaching position within GIPS.
