Active Family Chiropractic & Acupuncture is looking for a driven, motivated individual to join our billing department. The Billing Specialist role will assist our team by specializing in insurance billing, record keeping, billing AR reports, records requests, personal injury, and workman's compensation. This individual should have a keen eye for detail with excellent written communication. Individual must have a desire to help the patient with insurance needs and be a team player.

Knowledge and experience helpful but not necessary, on the job training provided for the right person. You will work with an experienced team ready to show you how awesome chiropractic billing can be!

Responsibilities

Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing and scheduling accuracy.

Work with insurance companies, employers, and attorneys for PI/WC billing.

Prior authorizations and maintain excellent case retention for the practice.

Follow the cycle of the claim from when the patient is scheduled until the case is closed.

Skills

Good knowledge of electronic billing procedures

Excellent communication ability

Organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Job Type: This is a full time position, M-F from 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
