Medication Aide (CNA required) - PRN (As Needed) - Grand Island

Eventide-Tabitha at Tabitha Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a PRN Medication Aide (MA40) position. The scheduled requirement for this role is at least 24 hours a month, with 16 of those hours on a weekend. One holiday a year is required.

Licensed MA40 with a CNA license is required.

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Ability to evaluate emergency situations and perform CPR when necessary, based on training.

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
• Assist with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follow department protocol for completion of documentation.
• Prioritize assignments and adjust throughout the shift to meet frequently changing senior/client/caregiver team needs and call lights.
• Carry out tasks within the assigned work environment as directed by Tabitha, regardless of team member preference.
• Follow through on comprehensive care plans/services plans for each individual senior/client.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and protect PHI at all times.
• With an MA40, additional essential functions include preparing and administering medications and treatments under RN direction within scope of practice and facility policies, and evaluating emergency situations with CPR as trained.

Salary: $18.50 - $28.00 per hour.
