JobPurpose
In this role, you will be responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, new methods, new technologies and cost reduction activities in selected areas.
Key Responsibilities- Establish methods and standards for new/changed parts. Work closely with design engineering and plant operations in developing processes and assist in development of new products with manufacturing requirements as part of the development process.
- Analyze, document and investigate and implement corrections for process failures; and initiate implement cost reductions.
- Provide leadership and work with other functions to help the plant meet goals in safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost while participating in a team environment. Other duties may include the need to establish economical manufacturing routings for a wide range of materials including casting and weldments.
- Provide support and participate in new product launch teams.
- Select correct tooling for new processes. Lead or assist in design of new or revised tooling to be used in all phases of the manufacturing process, including fabrication, welding and assembly.
- Provide production support in areas of safety, quality, throughput improvement, line balancing, tooling engineering, inventory management and cost optimization.
- A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline
- Ability to work >50% on shop floor, Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, ProE, Creo)
- Experience generating manufacturing Bill of Materials, routings, and standard (visual) work instructions/SOPs
- Hands‑on experience and product knowledge with agricultural or construction equipment transmissions (hydraulic systems/drive train) including hands‑on troubleshooting with automated testing equipment
The annual salary for this role is USD $63,000.00 - $84,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.).
