As a Railcar Technician, you'll help repair, clean and prepare railcars using industrial blasting equipment, power tools and other specialized equipment. You'll also assist with welding, painting and other production activities.

• Assist with railcar repairs, maintenance and preparation.
• Operate industrial blasting equipment to remove rust, paint, scale and other materials from railcars.
• Prepare railcar surfaces for painting and finishing.
• Inspect and clean railcars before and after blasting.
• Protect sensitive railcar components during the blasting process.
• Assist with welding, painting and other production tasks as needed.
• Operate grinders, sanders and other hand and power tools.
• Maintain, adjust and clean blasting equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and work cooperatively with team members.

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to wear a safety harness and required protective equipment.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Steel-toed boots required.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening.
• Must meet applicable background screening requirements.

Pay & Schedule $27.00 per hour, including a $2.00 shift differential. Monday Thursday, 4: 00 PM 2: 30 AM Overtime on Fridays when required. Full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Potential pay increase and employee benefits upon permanent hire, based on performance and company policies.
