RN Hemodialysis – St. Francis Medical Center
As our Hemodialysis Nurse ncis Medical Center, a part of Common Spirit Health, you will provide hemodialysis therapies in both acute and chronic renal failure as prescribed by the Nephrologist and in accordance with CHI Health policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Deliver dialysis therapy to all types of patients, including those in complex situations and/or complications of treatment.
- Evaluate, delegate, and coordinate nursing care.
- Provide care/service to critically ill patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program – BSN must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or nurse licensure compact.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.
The Hemodialysis unit has one treatment room where it can provide simultaneous treatment to two patients. If patients are critically ill or in isolation, their hemodialysis may be performed at their bedside on the unit to which they have been admitted. CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island, Neb., in 1887.
