Inside Technical Sales Position Summary

Under general supervision, Inside Technical Sales is responsible for customer and field rep support. Providing technical assistance, sales quotes, and answering customer inquiries.

• Evaluates customer needs and assists with product selection utilizing knowledge of engineering specifications and catalog resources.
• Develops, solicits, and closes new accounts; generates sales quotations; and handles customer inquiries.
• Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients and contacts.
• Resolves customer issues and problems.

• Technical aptitude, basic understanding of electro-mechanical devices.
• Must be able to perform equations.
• Must be able to understand basic electrical or process schematics.
• Must be able to understand basic mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Customer service oriented with friendly demeanor.
• CRM and MRP software experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum Associate Technical degree and 3-5 years sales experience in a technical or engineering environment.
