Fiber Placement Technician

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $24.00/hr

We have an opportunity for Fiber Placement Techs to join our team! No experience required. Must be able to travel in our region, as needed. Must be dependable, have a good driving record, and be drug free. Pay depends on level of experience and competency. Compensation includes paid lodging for travel and food per diem.

• Install Fiber Optic cables using various techniques
• Install new network facilities
• Install new network facilities for Carrier network, Fiber to the Cell Tower Businesses, and Residential

• You are at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and have a valid driver's license.
• You're able to travel throughout our region (NE/KS/CO) is a requirement for this position. Hotels are provided, and daily food per diem included.
• You’re able to perform labor-intensive tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing, and pulling and you can lift 100 pounds.
• Experience with fiber blowing optic equipment (GMP and CONDUX) would be a plus
• Experience with operation of hydraulic Fiber Optic Pulling Capstans would be a plus
• You can work outside in all elements
• You have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law.
• You have an eye for detail and a desire to excel
