Tabitha at Prairie Commons in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Facilities Technician to work PRN/as needed/on‑call 7a‑3:30p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

The Facilities Technician contributes to the efficient operation of the facility by performing a variety of high‑level maintenance functions including: electrical, heating/cooling, plumbing, electronics, generator and all Life Safety Systems.

• Provides daily routine maintenance such as; furniture moving, minor plumbing repairs, minor electrical repairs, and furniture repairs.
• Installs and repairs floor tile, coverings, base boards, ceiling tile, drywall and PVC wall coverings.
• Installs, repairs and maintains facility equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
• Performs preventative maintenance on kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Removes snow from walks driveways and parking areas using snow removal equipment.
• Performs painting duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs lawn care and landscaping as needed.
• Assists with transportation services as needed.

• COMMUNICATION
  :
  Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including instructions and labels.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  :
  Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment. Vision within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 75 − pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha’s discretion.
• AGE REQUIREMENT
  :
  At least age 18.
• EDUCATION
  :
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE
  :
  One year of experience in two out of six of the following strongly preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, floor repair, furniture repairs, heating/air conditioning repair.
• CREDENTIALS
  :
  Valid Nebraska Driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required.
