Job Summary / Description

KKCO/KJCT is looking for our next Morning/Midday Meteorologist. This candidate is self‑motivated, committed to quality control, and must have a passion for weather. We need someone who can produce and present accurate and reliable forecasts. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, versatile, able to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and have a positive attitude. The right candidate will be able to deliver weather on all of our traditional and digital platforms.

The right candidate will need to record and produce a digital weather segment 5 days a week.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Distribute weather data with hyper‑local information to all TV and digital platforms
• Fill in for other meteorologists as needed
• Regular social media content created and published
• Confident & experienced performance on air

Qualifications / Requirements

• Meteorology degree
• Experience with WSI
• Strong digital and social content skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and good driving record

Salary / Wage

$18.25 - $20.60 / hr. (DOE)

Shift and Schedule

Mon – Fri (or at Manager's discretion)
