Full job description
Girls on the Run Western Colorado (GOTRWC) is seeking a hybrid (in-office and remote), part-time (20hr/week) Program Coordinator to support the organization’s Program Director in all aspects of program implementation. The intention is for this person, as a part of their scope of work, to shadow/receive training from the Program Director to position them to eventually take over the Program Director position when GOTRWC’s current Program Director retires (retirement date/timeline TBD).
A note that this person must live in the Grand Valley and be available between 2:30-6PM Mon-Fri during spring/fall season, and that the below scope of work is subject to change.
Supports Program Director to oversee all aspects of after-school programming for Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole. This includes shadowing the Program Director for certain tasks but also taking full ownership of others. Tasks as delineated as such below.
Shadowing:
- Administering site, coach, and program registration, as well as scholarship support to caregivers of participants.
- Administration of Pinwheel as related to the above and for any program-related events.
- Onboarding new sites.
- Delivering coach trainings and meetings throughout the season.
- Managing County Coordinators, who oversee the implementation of the program at each program site.
- Overseeing program sites, including conducting site visits.
- Overseeing Run Raiser activities – administration, tracking, reporting, etc.
Assuming Full Ownership Of:
- Manage coach onboarding including:
Applications, training modules in GLA, CPR and First Aid assignments and certification records for active GOTR sites, run all background checks for coaches and Happy Pacers. - Working w/ the Operations and Marketing Coordinator to procure supplies and program shirts for the season, including Run Raiser prizes.
- Assembling and coordinating the distribution of coach bags, which include Run Raiser supplies. Coordinating the distribution of program shirts. Coordinating the distribution of Run Raiser prizes after the campaign is finished.
- Administering the BAND application.
- Reviewing weekly Coach Corner, which the Program Director will draft, prior to weekly submission.
- Serving as a Coach sub for Spring ‘26 sites.
- Assemble all documentation for the following payments:
County Coordinator stipends, Coach reimbursements and stipends, Site Liaison giftcards, Team gift cards that meet the coach:girl ratio - Assisting w/ dissemination of celebratory 5k event information and 5k shirts.
- Mailing thank you notes for Run Raiser donors; providing Run Raiser donors w/ tax documentation as requested.
- Monitor results from HQ post-season surveys (coaches, parents, ect…) w/I two weeks of season’s end.
- Support w/ Spanish translation for all program communications and with registration.
- Completion of the following longer-term projects: (1) Conducting a filing overhaul of program implementation documentation in Google Drive. (2) Developing a calendar for the Program Operations Manual and drafting programmatic updates to that manual at the direction of the Program Director.
- Attending T3 coach training in ‘26 (scheduled for June 27, 2026).
- Assisting w/ outreach/stewardship, special events, and recruitment as needed.
- Excellent relationship management skills to build trust with variety of stakeholders.
- Resourceful and a self starter.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Data entry and management skills and experience.
- GOTR coaching experience preferred.
- Experience administering after school youth programs preferred.
- Written/spoken fluency in Spanish preferred.

From $18.00 per hour
