JOB SUMMARY
Implement, maintain, and improve machined part manufacturing processes per customer drawings & specifications. This role focuses on developing and managing robust, reliable, and efficient workflows; supporting new product introductions; improving quality; and driving continuous improvement across machining, assembly, and other general production operations. Create in-process CAD/CAM models, work instructions, process flows, NC programs etc… to introduce and manage new product development, as well as improve and optimize existing processes.
The ideal candidate is hands‑on, collaborative, and experienced in high‑precision, regulated manufacturing.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes across machining, assembly, and general production operations.
- Create and maintain clear process documentation including routings, work instructions, standard work, and process flow diagrams.
- Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine machining/manufacturing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality and production, to improve manufacturability and cycle times.
- Identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve throughput using lean tools and structured problem‑solving.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tooling wear, machine setup, and process deviations.
- Contribute to the design, selection, and improvement of tools, fixtures, and equipment to enhance safety and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, standardized work, waste reduction, and workflow optimization.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by engaging with team members on best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, preferred
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/machining process development, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., NX, Solid Works, Mastercam, or similar software), CNC programming, and G-code.
- Understanding of manufacturing fundamentals: process flows, tooling concepts, quality principles, and GD&T.
- Knowledge of inspection tools, gauging, and methods
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other quality management systems.
- Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Hands‑on experience with CNC machining centers, including setup, and operation.
- Understanding of Mazak controls and Mazatrol
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)

COMPENSATIONThe pay range for this role is $58,800 - $94,200. Job-related, non‑discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
