OVERVIEWAND ROLE SCOPE OF TEAM AND/OR TASKS
The Instructional Technology Specialist advances teaching and learning excellence by supporting the effective integration, administration, and innovation of learning technologies at Colorado Mesa University. This position serves as a bridge between pedagogy and technology, empowering instructors to design meaningful learning experiences using the university’s suite of digital tools. The role collaborates closely with CDLI colleagues, IT partners, and academic departments to promote accessible, engaging, and pedagogically sound use of technology across all learning modalities.
ROLES- Administer and maintain CMU’s Learning Management System (LMS) and integrated learning technologies.
- Partner with faculty and CDLI staff to implement innovative, accessible, and pedagogically sound uses of digital tools.
- Collaborate with IT professionals, academic leaders, and end users to ensure the LMS and integrated learning technologies are aligned with best practices, as well as institutional goals.
- Support faculty and staff through consultations, training, and just‑in‑time resources on effective use of learning technologies.
- Monitor system performance, coordinate updates and testing, and liaise with IT and vendors to resolve complex issues.
