12-hour shifts, 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am, PRN

What to Expect: Provide RN nursing services in a skilled nursing unit or facility; may include supervision of nurse assistants, medication passes and treatments.
Responsibilities- Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
- Ensure reference materials and nursing service manuals are current; maintain materials at nurses’ stations and ensure staff compliance with procedures.
- Provide written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as required.
- Develop methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of the resident’s total care regimen.
- Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
- Assist in planning and reviewing discharge plans; participate in updating resident discharge plans.
- Plan and coordinate the nursing services portion of residents’ discharge plans with the Director.
- Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan department services, programs, and activities.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required; complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
- Interpret department policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting as necessary.
- Protect resident information and maintain security of access credentials; report any suspected violations to Administration.
- Report any unauthorized attempts to access facility information systems.
Assist with the overall supervision and management of the nursing staff. As an RN, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Education and Experience- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- 2 years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Colorado.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
- Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing and remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.

Rate Range: $38-$48 per hour
