• The LPN will provide general patient care by:
  • Reviewing the patient’s chart and familiarizing with orders for medications, lab orders, radiology orders, activity, diet, consultation orders, etc.
  • Explaining procedures and treatment to the patient to allay apprehension, verify understanding, and gain cooperation.
  • Providing appropriate individualized teaching regarding medical/surgical condition, treatment, pertinent lab/x-ray results, medications, diet, pain management, and potential drug or herbal interactions.
  • Completing appropriate paperwork on new admissions including signed consents, complete history, documented patient belongings, and orientation to room and nursing floor routine; working in collaboration with RN to determine and initiate an appropriate plan of care.
  • Preparing equipment, supplies, and aids for physicians or mid-level providers during treatment and examination of patient.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an IV certification program.

• Current BLS Certification.
• Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Intravenous Certification.

• LPN: $24.00 – $27.60 per hour, depending on education and experience.
• RN: $32.50 – $37.38 per hour, depending on education and experience.
• Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
