American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

• Med/Surg unit setting within a hospital
• 3x12-hour day shifts scheduled
• 36 hours per week
• 8 weekend shifts required per 8-week schedule
• On-call is optional
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active RN license, Single State or Compact (CO)
• BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire before start date
• ACLS certification (AHA) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg specialty experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• No pending license allowed
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Perform independent nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Conduct health status assessments, health teaching, and health counseling
• Provide therapy and treatment supportive to patient recovery and well-being
• Execute delegated medical functions and monitor treatment plans
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results using a specific vendor
• Report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
• Returning Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
