American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.

• Med Surg unit in a hospital setting
• 3x12hr Day shifts,
• 36 hours per week
• 8 weekend shifts per 8-week schedule required
• On-call is optional
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required, no pending license accepted
• BLS (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS (AHA) preferred, or other certification as appropriate for unit or service
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse preferred

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care including health status assessment, health teaching, and health counseling
• Provide therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient well-being
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screen results required, with candidates expected to complete drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
