American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a CO or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

• Work in the Med Surg 1 unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12hr shifts per week )
• 36 hours per week
• 8 weekend shifts required per 8-week schedule
• On-call is optional
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire before start date
• ACLS certification (AHA) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care including health status assessment, teaching, and counseling
• Provide therapy and treatment, refer patients as needed, and document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
• Returning staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
