American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring Neuro/Stroke experience, NIHSS certification, and a Compact RN license.

• Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts,
• Weekend work required based on facility needs
• May be placed on-call during a scheduled shift depending on staffing levels
• Floating to other departments may be required within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active RN license (Compact required)
• Current BLS (AHA) certification, not expiring prior to start
• Current NIHSS certification required
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Neuro/Stroke experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Conduct health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment planning
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Promote facility mission, vision, and values while adhering to service behavior standards
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
