Merck's Research Laboratories seeks a bioanalytical scientist to support preclinical drug discovery in the DMPK group. The role involves conducting in vitro and ex vivo studies on novel drug candidates across multiple modalities, with emphasis on characterizing drug disposition and pharmacology to inform pipeline decisions.
Responsibilities- Plan and conduct in vitro/ex vivo studies to characterize DMPK properties of biologics and conjugates
- Interpret experimental data and present results to multidisciplinary teams for pipeline decision-making
- Contribute to scientific initiatives advancing understanding of ADME and discovery bioanalytical science
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on characterization of novel drug candidates across therapeutic areas
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience or Master's in analytical science, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays
- Demonstrated experience in biologics bioanalytical experimentation including ligand binding assays and FACS
- Proficiency with data analysis software such as Graph Pad or Excel
- Excellent scientific, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced research environments
$108,000–$170,100 base
