Overview of this position:
This position is responsible for providing residents at The Commons with the best dining experience possible including taking food orders, serving meals and maintaining The Commons dining rooms. Also responsible for assisting with dishwashing duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of Hilltop’s Assisted Living Communities (ALCs), including Service 1, how we treat each other, and Service 2, how we treat our residents. Service 1 and Service 2 is demonstrated by setting boundaries, being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and staff.
  • Accurately take food orders, place orders in kitchen, and serve when order is ready.
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after each meal.
  • Setting up service carts and ensuring items are fresh and adequately supplied.
  • Filling table condiments, cream, and sugar containers.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the dining area after each meal.
  • Cleaning and stocking the staff wait station and/or Bistro, companion wing, and breakroom.
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and safely storing dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, bus tubs, etc. Deep clean, sweep, and mop as assigned.
  • Inspecting and maintaining proper chemicals for the dishwasher.
  • Serving residents and their guests’ meals in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments.
  • Ensure food storage, food handling, and supplies meet all Mesa County and State of Colorado Health Department regulations.
  • Paying attention to the par levels of the food and restocking products as necessary.
  • Accurately balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
  • Assigning side work to the other dietary specialists and verifying its completeness.
Education & Experience

A minimum of six months of related experience required. Customer Service experience preferred. Minimum 18 years of age required.
