Family Time Coach

One Part-Time Position. 20-29 hours per week.

Monday through Friday Various hours depending on need, evenings and day time hours, possible Saturdays

Hiring Range: $17.00- $18.53/ hr., depending upon education and experience.

This position will remain open until filled.

Responsible for supervising and facilitating visits between caregivers and their children that are not in their care.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• One year of experience working with children and families; minimum 21 years old.

Preferred:

• Two or more years demonstrated success in working with children and families.

Bilingual/Bi-literate, preferably in Spanish.

To provide safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for children, families, and adults so that they may have the opportunities to develop their strengths, maximize their potential, and fully participate in society.

Coordinate weekly visits for parents and their children and facilitate the visits. Visits may be in the office or in the community.

Effectively and appropriately communicate ideas, thoughts and feelings. Ability to listen. Take responsibility for your actions.

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, coworkers and supervisors, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Understand and demonstrate Ariel and program mission, vision and values.

Intervene during the visit to provide appropriate coaching and/or feedback of parenting skills. Terminate visit, if necessary.

Observe and document parent/child interactions by producing Parenting Time Reports in a timely manner following each visit within the established format and guidelines.

Communicate parent progress and/or pertinent information to the designated treatment team. Testify in court, as required.

As assigned by program manager, attend reviews and necessary meetings at the Department of Human Services. Inform program manager if unable to attend any assigned meetings.

Maintain a safe environment for children and families during visitations.

Maintain emotional stability and resilience, including the ability to remain calm during crises, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional boundaries.
