Staff Accountant, (75K-80K), Grand Prairie

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant on behalf of a growing, well-established organization in the manufacturing and distribution industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a hands‑on role and wants to be part of a collaborative finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger and financial reporting experience, advanced Excel skills, and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

This position pays 75K-80K and located in Grand Praire, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
  • Manage fixed assets, check runs, and cash forecasting
  • Analyze accounting data and prepare accurate financial reports and statements
  • Ensure adherence to proper accounting principles, policies, and internal controls
  • Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
  • Extract and interpret financial data from Microsoft Business Central
  • Coordinate and process foreign currency transactions and related system entries
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting function
  • Partner with leadership on ad hoc projects and initiatives to support financial objectives
Job Requirements
  • 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or product‑based environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Business Central (or similar ERP system)
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
  • Self‑starter with strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency
  • Collaborative and dependable team player
