Staff Accountant II

Staff Accountant II – Perm Role – Grand Prairie, TX (Onsite)

The Staff Accountant II will focus primarily on Accounts Receivable and Inventory Accounting, playing a key role in month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement. This position partners closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager and Controller and is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on accounting and analytical work.

• Maintain accurate general ledger and sub-ledgers in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and post journal entries, including month-end entries related to AR and inventory
• Support accounts receivable activities, including bad debt accounting, subledger maintenance, collections support, and documentation
• Assist with inventory accounting, including excess and obsolete inventory calculations, inventory costing, and month-end inventory entries
• Track and analyze production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead
• Manage fixed asset and inventory accounting records
• Participate in inventory counts and related adjustments
• Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide explanations to leadership
• Provide financial data and analysis to support operational decision-making
• Identify errors, recommend process improvements, and help enhance accounting efficiency
• Develop and document accounting policies and business processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance OR 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
