Auto Care Central in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring a full-time Automotive Technician to help us take excellent care of our customers' vehicles.

Depending on experience, you earn $35.00 - $45.00/hour
. You have a standard Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM schedule with an hour for lunch

• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Ability to perform DVI inspections, track repair times, and communicate technical repairs
• Ability to maintain a neat and organized work area
• Ability to use a company-issued tablet
• Ability to provide your basic tools (our shop provides specialty tools)
• Ability to maintain a positive and supportive work environment
• English communication skills
• Valid driver's license and the ability to drive company and customer vehicles

ASE certification would be preferred.

Our Automotive Technician is responsible for correctly diagnosing mechanical and electrical vehicle issues, using various equipment to identify the source of problems and fix them. You work on suspensions, brakes, electrical systems, and everything in between, completing exceptional repairs within a reasonable timeframe. Following repair orders and meeting company quality standards, you troubleshoot problems, replace parts, and complete high-quality maintenance and repairs.

You communicate technical diagnostics to the service advisor and work with your fellow techs to ensure efficient service. You also participate in formal training sessions to keep your auto repair knowledge up to date.
