EHS Specialist

Job Description

You’ll be our on-the-ground EHS presence, based at Grand Prairie, TX with weekly visits to Farmers Branch, TX and Arlington, TX and support wherever it’s needed. Some of the responsibilities for these sites include:

• Own daily safety walks and observations at Grand Prairie, and join two daily GEMBA walks (1st and 2nd shift, about 40 minutes each)
• Do weekly walk-throughs of both Farmers Branch buildings and the Arlington warehouse to track the move, and complete Arlington’s pre-occupancy checklist
• Lead new-hire EHS orientation every Monday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, instructor-led with Vector training modules
• Run contractor safety briefings at every site and complete equipment releases as racking, robotics, and equipment are installed, removed, and relocated
• Investigate OSHA recordables, first aid cases, near misses, property damage, and environmental spills, and document each one in the EHS platform
• Coordinate workers’ compensation for injuries, including getting employees to the right medical facility

Required experience:

• 2+ years of EHS or safety experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing setting
• Experience leading safety training for groups, such as new-hire orientation
• Experience investigating workplace incidents and maintaining OSHA 300 logs
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry card or forklift trainer certification

Nice to have:

• Contractor safety experience during construction, racking installs, or facility moves
• Workers’ compensation claims experience
• Familiarity with Cornerstone, Vector, or similar training and EHS platforms
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
