Description
You will be the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Test Engineer for the Advanced Programs Line‑of‑Business, supporting Long Endurance Electronic Decoy (LEED) Test Equipment and Test Software activities in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team ensures the seamless operation of test systems, and you play a key role in providing technical support, test equipment improvements, and troubleshooting expertise.
What You Will Be DoingAs the ATE Test Engineer, you will support test systems, provide technical expertise, and drive improvements to test equipment and software. You will work with Test Stand®, LabVIEW®, and CVI® to control signal generation and measurement tools, conduct Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and perform functional testing.
Responsibilities- Designing and supporting test equipment hardware and software as needed
- Analyzing failures associated with test equipment and providing recommended solutions
- Troubleshooting and problem‑solving test equipment issues
- Collaborating with production teams to maintain test equipment uptime and support troubleshooting
We seek a highly skilled and motivated ATE Test Engineer with strong background in Electrical, Computer, or Computer Science Engineering. As a self‑starter with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, you will thrive working on complex test systems and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Location and TravelThis position is located in Dallas, TX. The role requires the ability to travel (up to 15%) to Camden, AR and Troy, AL as needed.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related and 5 years of professional experience (or 3 years with a Master’s), or equivalent professional experience
- Experience designing electronics test equipment, including interface test adapters (ITAs) and unit under test (UUT) cabling
- Experience designing software for automated test equipment (ATE)
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required to start
- Proficient with National Instruments LabVIEW and Test Stand
- Experience with verification and validation of test equipment for DoD products
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (Interim Secret Clearance required to start).
Work SchedulesOnsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule:
4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
