Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. We are experiencing growth and we are looking for a Database Administrator in Grand Prairie, TX.

What

You Will Be Doing

As the Database Administrator & Application Developer you will be responsible for building, tuning, and safeguarding our Oracle and SAP HANA environments while delivering high impact SQL and reporting solutions. You’ll partner with engineers, program managers, and customers to ensure data is reliable, secure, and readily available across development, test, staging, and production systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Design, implement, and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL code for large relational systems.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Crystal Reports and user interface elements to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Perform database loading, health monitoring, and proactive/reactive issue resolution.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, backups, recovery strategies, and environment transitions (dev → test → stage → prod).
  • Create and manage user accounts, assign appropriate access, and enforce security and integrity controls.
  • Lead program-wide working groups, facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) reviews, and prioritize change requests.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing, ad hoc queries, and data mining activities to support decision making.
  • Document policies, procedures, and standards for database management and transaction monitoring.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

The selected candidate must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance.

  • Ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
