Description
You will be the Senior Quality Engineer supporting an Advanced Programs development program at Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services provided by suppliers across the United States, and we're looking for a seasoned professional to lead these efforts.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for performing product source inspections, first articles, and product validations at supplier locations, as well as providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions. You will work closely with suppliers, program management, and customers to ensure that quality standards are met and program requirements are fulfilled.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations at supplier locations
- Providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions
- Supporting supplier requests and interfacing with customer needs and program management activities
- Participating in supplier failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities as required
- Performing ongoing surveillance of supplier conformance to Lockheed Martin requirements and providing written weekly reports
- Providing technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
- Ensuring supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications- STEM Degree at bachelors level or higher, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
- An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- A thorough understanding of engineering requirements
- Must be able to identify and document quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action
- Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
- Understanding engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
- A basic understanding of special processes
- An overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers on a daily bases to support the Program
- Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions
- Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Must be able to multi‑task
