In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and preparing cost proposals—including budgets and accompanying financial documentation—in support of proposals. You will apply applicable government regulations (e.g., FAR) and maintain accurate cost and pricing models to meet company gross margin and EBIT targets.

• Oversee cost and pricing for a range of proposals, domestic and international.
• Ensure costing information is timely, accurate and supportable.
• Coordinate requirements for all costing data with cross‑functional teams.
• Support the team in providing cost‑effective solutions and translating findings into customer price breakdowns.
• Maintain and improve processes for compiling and communicating cost estimates.
• Lead projects in developing costing tools and improving technical information for accurate landed costs.
• Develop, evaluate and implement pricing models based on current business situations and market dynamics.
• Work with marketing and sales to monitor competitive environment and keep pricing models market‑conform.
• Lead internal meetings on overall review of all costing and pricing components.

• Create business cases that provide management with cost, margin and price information for proposed and established prices.
• Lead finance offer evaluation process to obtain approvals for release of offers.

• Manage, develop, mentor and coach staff to uphold company core values and behaviors.
• Provide training to colleagues on costing templates.
• Foster an innovative mindset to continually improve processes.

• Create basis of estimates (BOE) for proposals and train team on BOE use.
• Contribute to writing pricing content for proposals.
• Meet internal and customer external requirements for contract negotiations.
• Translate costing sheets to customer pricing sheets per RFP.

• BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience and education.
• 10 years of experience in project management, costing, pricing or data analytics.
• Understanding of FAR 12 commercial item contract requirements.
• Strong analytical, technical, customer service, product knowledge and quality focus.
• Advanced Excel skills for modeling costing concepts.
• Availability for 5% domestic and international travel.
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or covered under ITAR license).

• MBA or MS in Accounting or Finance.
• Understanding of FAR 15 government item contract requirements.

• Onsite or remote: 95% onsite.
• Vision, hearing, speaking, equipment operation, carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, travel, walking – all to specified limits.
• PPE required: steel‑toed shoes, hearing/eye protection when visiting shop floor.
