Job Title: IT Business Partner
OverviewSiemens Smart Infrastructure IT enables digitalization in the business units by providing modern cloud applications, advanced analytics, AI, and supporting IT services. The IT Business Partner will serve as a technology leader within the Siemens Electrical Products (EP) business unit, driving standardization initiatives and supporting the business’ digital transformation journey. This role aligns with business objectives to develop, implement, and optimize digital solutions that enhance operational excellence across manufacturing, engineering, and business processes.
The role focuses on modernizing the technology landscape with emphasis on manufacturing systems and engineering platforms, and requires both strategic vision and day-to-day operational delivery across Dallas–Fort Worth area manufacturing facilities.
You will have the opportunity to apply your existing skills and learn about business processes to enable innovation and process improvement through technology. The position offers the chance to drive strategies and provide mentorship to the business by applying agile methodologies and digital innovations. This is a hybrid position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
You’ll make an impact by- Partnering with the business to fully support the Fort Worth and Grand Prairie factories on all IT-related topics.
- Understanding the application landscape to assist with modernization and standardization across SI IT.
- Proactively engaging with business unit partners on opportunities and challenges.
- Planning, driving, and managing IT demands and projects from start to finish; engaging with stakeholders, scoping, documenting requirements, coordinating providers, and supporting execution.
- Managing incidents to resolution with detailed root-cause analysis.
- Facilitating meetings with internal and external IT providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Providing initial consultation on IT operational issues, engaging appropriate service providers, and ensuring follow-up through closure.
- Troubleshooting and resolving IT equipment issues at Grand Prairie / Fort Worth sites.
- Maintaining a flexible work schedule to coordinate support during non-standard hours.
- Keeping BU management and employees informed on IT strategies, priorities, initiatives, and projects.
- Communicating new tools and technologies released by internal IT service providers to end users.
- Engaging with global SI IT counterparts to share best practices.
- Ensuring alignment of the application portfolio with business priorities and IT strategy.
- Supporting information requests for policy, usage, adoption, or project data.
- Tracking and monitoring IT service consumption to drive usage reductions within the SI EP business unit.
- Building relationships with end users to foster a positive IT experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience supporting business IT initiatives
- Background in manufacturing and/or production-critical environments
- Experience leading/driving IT digital transformation and innovation initiatives in a complex operational environment
- Experience with infrastructure solution design, implementation, and service management
- Track record of planning and managing large/complex technical projects with superior results
- Effective communication with collaborators at all levels, including executives
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Eagerness to learn and problem solve
- Good interpersonal skills for developing and managing relationships across teams
- Ability to travel between locations and up to 10% (domestic and international)
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization (exceptions may apply for Siemens employees in the U.S.)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with manufacturing applications (PLM, MES); data center design, implementation, and support
