PPG Aerospace Job Opportunity:
Manufacturing Engineer

PPG Aerospace, a leading global supplier of aircraft transparencies, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate and develop manufacturing processes for various transparency products that meet specialized design and performance specifications. The role involves supporting all aspects of Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Performance Improvement, Process and Capital Improvement, and Personal Growth. You will provide hands-on technical support and collaborate with our customer's technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide manufacturing support, including investigating and performing root cause analysis on non-conforming products, solving production problems, and implementing corrective actions.

Support analysis of returned products to determine corrective actions and coordinate repairs.

Provide hands-on technical support in manufacturing processes, specifically in the Polycarbonate panels forming process.

Define tooling requirements and collaborate during design and multiple tooling stages.

Work with design and development teams on new product introductions.

Develop Bills of Material and Manufacturing Work Instructions for current and new jobs.

Analyze processes, operations, assembly, and equipment to identify improvements in time, quality, and efficiency.

Focus on reducing setup times, variation, and improving process capability and consistency using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of related experience.

Experience in Aerospace and Defense is preferred.

Six Sigma Green Belt or similar Continuous Improvement training is preferred.

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.

Ability to acquire security clearances is a plus.
