Position: Gear Cutter %26 Grinder A DSC - 2nd Shift

Bell-Textron Inc. is seeking a Gear, Cut & Grind technician to support our manufacturing operations at our Drive Systems Center in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Work Performed:

Set up and operate all types of gear manufacturing equipment including gear cutters, gear grinders, gear shavers, lapping machines, etc., to produce a wide variety of gears and splines including spiral bevel, helical, and hypoid gears.

Ensure setups and work are held to extremely close tolerances.

Advise and assist in the development of new gears and gear cutting processes.

Test and check gears using gear testing and checking machines and equipment.

Set up and perform grinding on case-hardened surfaces.

Tools & Equipment Used:

All types of gear manufacturing, testing, and checking equipment, machinists’ hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Experience & Other Requirements:

Three years of experience as a Gear Cutter and Grinder, plus two years of related experience.
