** Monday – Friday;
Approximately 8 hours per day/40 hours per week·       
** Pay:** $19.00/hour·

* About the Role:

** As a Production Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
* ** Manufacturing Operations Support:
** Assist production teams in monitoring daily manufacturing activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met.
* ** Continuous Improvement Projects:
** Support initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiencies, and optimizing production processes.
* ** Performance Monitoring:
** Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and process bottlenecks.
* ** Standard Work Development:
** Assist in creating and updating work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration:

** Partner with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational goals.  What we look for in aProduction Intern**:
*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Currently enrolled in an Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related academic program.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
** Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements
*** Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments.
* Frequent exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving machinery, forklifts, and other industrial conditions.
* Must follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing facilities.
* Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as necessary.
* Must be able to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work around equipment during project activities.
* Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
* Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
* Periodic travel may be required to other MSI Express locations and end-of-internship events.
