Job SummaryMedical City Dallas, which is part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a seasonal, PRN registered nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department. The position is a seasonal PRN with a full‑time schedule that runs from 9/21/25 to 4/4/26, offering $62/hr plus applicable differentials.
Responsibilities- Provide high quality, patient‑centered care consistent with department standards.
- Assess, perform and document nursing interventions such as pain assessment, procedure support, and documentation in the patient medical record.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs.
- Teach patients, families and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, follow‑up measures, and preventive health.
- Coordinate with medical providers and team members to deliver individualized care.
- Current RN license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree (required). 12‑month enrollment and 24‑month completion for Bachelor's.
- Valid BCLS or CCLS; BCLS Instructor for 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days;
Trauma Nursing Core Course within 18 months. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months;
Emergency Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 18 months.
- Minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
- Four weekend shifts required each 4‑week schedule period.
- Two holiday shifts during the 32‑week period.
- PRN status employees subject to first‑call‑off; no guaranteed hours, no benefits except 401(k) per PRN policy.
- No shift bonuses and one opportunity for clinical competency evaluation.
- Current HWS employees ineligible for the program.
