Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: VP of Quality

Position OverviewThe Quality Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in building the quality function of a rapidly growing manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for someone early in their career with strong document control experience and a desire to grow into broader Quality responsibilities. You will function as the right hand to the VP of Quality
—an outstanding, supportive leader committed to training, mentoring, and preparing you for long-term advancement, including a future path toward Quality Assurance Manager. This is a rare opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of QA experience (or a Quality Engineer background) to accelerate their development in a high-growth environment.
Document Control (Primary Focus Initially)
- Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the document control process.
- Ensure all quality documentation meets regulatory requirements, internal standards, and revision control procedures.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Develop and implement quality control procedures aligned with internal standards, customer expectations, and industry requirements.
- Identify, establish, and maintain quality assurance standards.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality guidelines.
- Prepare, analyze, and present quality reports, metrics, and compliance updates.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues in partnership with the operations team.
- Support CAPA implementation, PFMEA development, and control plan execution.
- Assist with the creation and training of quality assurance and compliance materials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and other departments to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in ongoing initiatives to enhance processes, standardization, and efficiency across the organization.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (minimum requirement).
- 2–3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role.
- Candidates with a Quality Engineer background are welcome.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially around document control.
- Experience working in a regulated or process-driven manufacturing environment (food manufacturing, medical/pharma, electrical, etc. all relevant).
Preferred:
- Experience with CAPA, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Prior involvement in cross-functional quality initiatives and audits.
- Strong communication and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- High visibility, reporting directly to the VP of Quality.
