At Polk Mechanical, you ll be the backbone of our HVAC services, specializing in chiller systems. You ll use your expertise to diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade a variety of HVAC equipment. This isn t just about fixing things; it s about being a problem-solver, a skilled technician, and a crucial link in ensuring our customers  comfort and operational efficiency.

• Be a Troubleshooting Master:
  Identify and resolve technical problems with precision, ensuring all failed components are identified and addressed.
• Work with Diverse Systems:
  Apply your knowledge of both air- and water-cooled HVAC equipment, including VFDs and various types of starters.
• Conquer Hydronic Challenges:
  Troubleshoot hydronic systems, including system pumps and water balance issues.
• Maintain Cooling Towers:
  Effectively troubleshoot cooling towers and evaporative condensers.
• Navigate Microprocessors:
  Utilize your general working knowledge of York, Trane, and Carrier microprocessors.
• Support the Team:
  Be a team player, assisting with dispatch service calls when customer demand is high.
• Communicate Professionally:
  Interact clearly and respectfully with customers and internal office personnel.
• Manage Your Work:
  Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted daily.
• Work Independently:
  Set and meet your own goals, taking ownership and a sense of urgency with every task.
• Travel as Needed:
  Be willing and able to travel to customer locations within the greater Dallas area.
• Prioritize Safety:
  Abide by all safety rules and regulations, including courteous and defensive driving.
• Maintain Flexibility:
  Be adaptable to a flexible work schedule.

• A Minimum of 8+ Years of
  
  Experience:
  
  You should have extensive experience providing professional services in the HVAC industry, specifically working with water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
