This position requires a DoD security clearance or equivalent.
Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements. Applies standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support engineering applications such as laboratory simulations, systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons, armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other similar systems.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.
Missiles & Fire Control is seeking a qualified Software Engineer to work in the Grand Prairie, TX office. This position involves developing embedded real-time software on Client-3 products, primarily using Ada. Knowledge of Ada is required, with experience in Linux (CentOS) and VxWorks being a plus. Knowledge of continuous integration and maintaining a software factory is highly desirable. The candidate will experience all phases of software development, from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing.
This is a Monday through Thursday 4/10 in-plant assignment.
Required Knowledge/Skills- Active SECRET security clearance.
