Accounting Manager

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company in Grand Rapids that’s hiring an Accounting Manager to own core accounting operations and help drive financial accuracy across the business. This is an onsite, hands‑on role for someone who understands manufacturing environments and wants real ownership—not just oversight.

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, including month‑end and year‑end close
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Manage cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variances
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to support financial decisions
• Support audits, budgeting, and forecasting efforts
• Mentor and support accounting staff

• Manufacturing accounting experience required
• Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant with leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory in a production environment
• ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills
• Comfortable working 100% onsite in Grand Rapids
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and confident owning deliverables
