Corporate Controller
Our client is a privately held, growth-stage organization operating in a regulated, inventory-driven environment. The company is focused on building durable financial infrastructure to support continued expansion and long-term value creation.
Our client is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as the organization’s senior accounting leader and technical accounting authority. This role is not transactional
. Core accounting operations are established. The Controller will focus on governance, consolidations, audit readiness, internal controls, inventory accounting, and scalable systems.
The position partners closely with the CFO and plays a critical role in strengthening financial discipline as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain GAAP accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
- Own multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
- Maintain strong internal controls and continuous audit readiness
- Oversee inventory accounting, costing methodologies, and variance analysis
- Coordinate external audits and regulated reporting requirements
- Drive improvements to the month-end close process
- Partner with IT on ERP integrity and system scalability
- Lead and develop the accounting team
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and strategic initiatives
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
- Strong technical accounting and audit ownership background
- Experience in inventory-intensive or manufacturing environments
- Multi-entity consolidation experience
- ERP experience strongly preferred
- High integrity, strong communication skills, and sound judgment
- Full-time, onsite role in Grand Rapids, MI
