We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to lead tax engagements, mentor staff and serve as a trusted advisor to our clients.
The Tax Senior Manager will oversee complex tax engagements, manage client relationships, and provide leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who enjoys hands‑on work, values work‑life balance and wants to play a meaningful role in a growing firm.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
- Research and resolve complex tax issues; prepare and review technical memoranda as needed
- Oversee tax compliance workflow, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and firm procedures are met
- Mentor, train, and evaluate staff and senior accountants
- Assist with firm management initiatives, process improvements, and client development efforts
- Facilitate financial statement and compilation engagements for selected business clients.
- CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years of public accounting tax experience, with at least 2 years in a manager or senior manager role
- Strong technical knowledge of individual and business taxation
- Experience working with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities independently
- Experience working with Quick Books is a plus
