Senior Tax Manager

Tax Senior Manager | Grand Rapids, Michigan

There's a reason some accountants have stayed with this firm for over 15 years. And it's not always because they love tax returns.

It's because they've found somewhere that treats them like an adult, gives them room to grow, and understands there's more to life than work.

I'm working with a mid-sized accounting firm looking for an experienced Tax Senior Manager in Grand Rapids.

And I think there are a few things that make this worth considering, even if you're not actively looking.

For starters, there's flexibility around scheduling, opportunities to work remotely for some of your hours, and even the potential to consider reduced working hours.

You can enjoy what you do without necessarily wanting it to take up quite so much of your life.

The firm has also earned repeated recognition on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For list. Which is encouraging, because the people you work with can make an enormous difference

to how much you enjoy your job.

And there's still plenty of room to grow.

This isn't a role where you're simply reviewing returns until retirement.

You'll have ownership of client relationships, the opportunity to develop younger accountants,

and access to the resources and opportunities that come with being part of an established firm

Here is the truth about applications.

Many people treat them like a checklist, where missing one item means instant rejection.

That is not how this works.

If this role interests you, apply. The apply button is not a commitment, it is the start of a conversation.

I start at 6am EST, so mornings work. After 5pm EST is fine too, though I may be slightly less lively.

Do not overthink it. The worst outcome is a friendly conversation about your career. The best outcome is where it gets exciting.
