Clerk Typist II

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide clerical support for the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) and Immunization programs within the Community Clinical Services Division of the Kent County Health Department. Duties include answering phones, screening for program services eligibility, scheduling appointments for WIC, routine and travel immunizations and lead screening as well as other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, no weekends, nights or holidays. Will be required to work 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of successful clerical experience.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Typing speed of 50 wpm or higher.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to positively interact with clients from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Ability to speak Spanish or another foreign language is beneficial.
