Tax Advisory Manager

In this role, you guide closely held businesses and business owners through tax-sensitive decisions, delivering strategic insight on planning, transactions, and organizational structure. You will blend technical tax leadership with strong client relationship management to provide practical recommendations that support long-term business objectives. The position also involves strengthening the advisory capabilities of the firm through high-quality service and collaboration. You will lead engagements, mentor tax professionals, and help expand advisory opportunities through cross-functional teamwork and business development.

• Direct advisory engagements for privately owned businesses and stakeholders on tax strategy, entity structure, transaction planning, and business consulting
• Evaluate tax impacts of acquisitions, sales, reorganizations, and major events and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Perform in-depth research on complex federal and state tax issues and prepare supportable conclusions for client decisions
• Review memoranda, tax analyses, projections, and related deliverables for technical soundness and alignment with client goals
• Oversee multiple engagements, manage timelines, budgets, staffing, and overall quality of work product
• Track engagement progress and financial performance by monitoring workload distribution, utilization, realization, and billing activity
• Partner with colleagues across practice areas to develop coordinated solutions for multifaceted client challenges
• Coach, supervise, and develop tax professionals through feedback, training, and delegation
• Expand advisory service opportunities by deepening client relationships and supporting business development
• Recommend process improvements and practical innovations to enhance service delivery and client outcomes
