At Heartland Builders, we don't just build homes, we create experiences. As an on-your-lot custom builder, we make the homebuilding process transparent, personalized, and fun for both clients and team members.

We're seeking a skilled Estimator to deliver accurate, cost-effective project estimates and support our production team in maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency. This role is key to keeping our pricing current, our bids competitive, and our projects running smoothly.

• Maintain and update pricing, trade bids, and material catalogs across all home plans.
• Create and manage estimates for materials, labor, and assemblies using Buildertrend and Excel.
• Verify drawings, specifications, and estimates align before construction begins.
• Generate and track purchase orders, change orders, and variance requests.
• Solicit, analyze, and manage trade partner bids to ensure competitive, accurate pricing.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, and suppliers to keep information consistent across departments.
• Support pre-construction meetings.
• Assist in value-engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review projects under construction for quality and cost alignment.
• Research new products, techniques, and code changes to keep Heartland Builders ahead of industry trends.

• Experience in residential estimating, purchasing, or construction management.
• Strong understanding of building methods, materials, and codes.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Buildertrend, Co-Construct, Planswift, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
