Project Manager - Heavy Civil (Various Sites - Travel Required)

Position: Project Manager – Heavy Civil
Location: Michigan preferred (open to travel nationwide)
Salary: $100—185k DOE
Employment Type: Full‑time

Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
• Track project completion, daily production rates, materials, equipment usage and changes to conditions
• Understand scope, project documents, specifications and drawings; apply them to build the project per design
• Schedule construction and maintenance activities
• Prepare monthly billings, review and approve timecards
• Review budgets and understand project projections (materials, productivity, manpower, equipment)
• Build relationships internally and externally

Requirements:

• 3–5 years minimum experience in heavy civil projects
• Experience working with multiple layers of project documents to comply with building requirements
• Experience in PM, CM, or QC roles on large‑scale power projects in the civil construction sector
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness to be trained on HCSS software (Heavy Job & Heavy Bid) and Microsoft Project
• Team player, willing to perform multiple duties as needed
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and self‑driven
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and DVR acceptable to insurer
• Willing and able to work long hours and in varying conditions
