CTV Executive Producer

At WOOD-TV, you will supervise a team of WOODTV+ content developers and coordinate with the digital, marketing and sales departments. This position will bring the linear assets of news to the CTV product and integrate that thinking into the day‑to‑day workflow.

Description
  • The CTV Executive Producer will train web and TV reporters and producers, and digital video producers on all aspects of the streaming studio.
  • This EP will oversee and improve the daily packaging of all CTV editorial content with the goal of increasing user traffic and engagement.
  • This role requires daily oversight of the WOODTV+ program schedule, adding original content, and unique Nexstar programs to the watch list.
  • We want this individual to be an audience expert who understands how to grow app downloads and maximize livestream and VOD metrics.
  • You must have the flexibility to perform various duties and work across multiple platforms, and the ability to jump into the mix and create high‑performing CTV content as needed.
  • The CTV producer will oversee the execution of the WOODTV+ brand.
  • An emphasis will be placed on video usage, live coverage, and in‑depth reporting of the day’s top stories.
  • This manager will also find opportunities to promote the content posted on WOOD social media channels.
  • Position interfaces regularly with corporate digital managers on local and group projects.
  • The CTV EP will be involved in the editorial process in the local newsroom.
  • The CTV EP will attend local and regional meetings as needed, and work with the Digital Director on refining the local audience strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent.
  • At least 5 years experience in television, radio or digital broadcast/production.
  • Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, social media, and analytical skills.
  • Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations.
  • Utilize state‑of‑the‑art OBS technology.
